XUAN 2020 UPDATE

Thank you everyone for your excitement and support for VSA and for the Xuan 2020 Festival!

Unfortunately, we had to come to the difficult decision of canceling this year's festival due to the COVID-19 crisis.

We are so grateful for our dedicated committee that had so much to offer and showcase this year. We recognized the importance of the well-being of our committee and those attending our cultural show. While nothing can replace the joy of coming together and experiencing the amazing work by our committee, we are very excited to put together this website to stay connected during this time.

Please enjoy :)

In Vietnamese, Spring translates to Mùa Xuân. Spring is a time for celebrating new life and growth. Every year Seattle University’s Vietnamese Student Association (SUVSA) host our very own Xuân Festival or Spring Festival. Our goal is to celebrate our Vietnamese culture and share it with the Seattle U community. This year we wanted to celebrate how we celebrate love and what love means in our community. This year is our 15th Annual Xuân Festival, our theme is Xuân Má»›i, Tình Yêu Má»›i or A New Spring, a New Love.

Every year, we work to to give back to our community through a monetary donation to a different charity. This year all proceeds made from our festival will go to Messengers of Love. Their mission is to “provide physical, mental, emotional and educational support to the orphaned and under privileged children of Vietnam through programs and services such as: Scholarship for a Poor Child, Holiday Care Packages, English and Character class, Workforce Preparation and Training, Summer School, Safe Shelter and Clean Water programs. Please see below to donate!

We hope you to see you next year with renewed energy and love for the Vietnamese culture and community!

Lots of love,
